Automation Built on Synergized Experience
Building on our combined experience spanning the gases and space industries, we have developed automated systems to transfer rare gases krypton and xenon safely and effectively to spacecraft fuel tanks. Our Electric Propulsion Loading Systems (EPLS) reflect years of experience in the handling and loading of rare gases for ion drive propellants - to give you a compact solution that meets the stringent purity requirements of the spacecraft industry. Already today, our EPLS systems are widely deployed by leading space players.
This integrated solution is designed for fully automated loading. The process starts with preparatory and self-testing steps, where ultra-pure argon is used to condition the supply and transfer lines and helium is used for leak testing. The spacecraft tank is then prepared - again with automated routines - by conditioning with argon and propulsion gases. To prepare the source (xenon/krypton), the EPLS automatically conditions multiple propulsion gas supply cylinders for the largest loads - with real-time purity analytics. Based on the specified flow rate, the receiving tank is then automatically filled and key parameters such as temperature and pressure are automatically monitored. The entire system is designed for safety, compliance and efficiency.
