HiQ® specialty gases
Our HiQ® programme combines high-purity gases, accurate gas mixtures, precision-engineered gas supply systems and the high-quality services needed for optimum results in plastics and rubber processing. HiQ® supports everything from process and emissions control through instrument calibration to leak detection.

PLASTINUM® Extrusion Foaming
Our PLASTINUM® Extrusion Foaming solution offers customers a complete package including the gas tank (usually CO2), an efficient and reliable pressure booster and a proven, highly accurate high-pressure metering system that overcomes the challenges involved in precise dosing of liquid carbon dioxide into the extruder.

PLASTINUM® Gas Injection Moulding
We have developed a package of innovative technologies and complementary equipment to enable customers to upgrade their gas injection moulding (GIM) processes using both nitrogen (N2) and carbon dioxide (CO2). The benefits of PLASTINUM® Gas Injection Moulding include significant increases in productivity and part quality.
PLASTINUM® Mould Temperature Control
Our PLASTINUM® Spot Cooling offering for mould temperature control using carbon dioxide (CO₂) delivers productivity gains by cooling selected hotspots which cannot be cooled with water. PLASTINUM®Dynamic Temperature Control also enables dynamic injection moulding by rapid heating and cooling of mould inserts with complex and tiny geometries.
PLASTINUM® Gas Injection Moulding with N2
Purging mould cavities and hoppers with nitrogen (N₂) before injecting the polymer overcomes the quality and downtime issues that result from oxygen. These can include burning (known as the diesel effect) and clogging of gas injectors for instance. We deliver customised supply schemes for your inerting applications.

PLASTINUM® Polyurethane Foaming
Designed specifically to ensure consistently high quality standards in PUR foaming processes, our PLASTINUM® Polyurethane Foaming solution reliably delivers the high volumes of liquid carbon dioxide (LIC) needed to produce low-density foams.

Cryogenic grinding
Cryogenic grinding assisted by liquid nitrogen (LIN) is the ideal way to break down heat-sensitive materials such as rubber or plastics. Building on more than 50 years’ experience in cryogenic grinding, we give our customers the benefits of safe and economical installations, extending from gas supply and storage systems through supply lines to pressure and temperature control solutions.

Specialty gases for PVD/CVD
Specialty and rare gases play an essential role in many coating processes such as physical vapour deposition (PVD) and chemical vapour deposition (CVD). We deliver the full range of specialty and rare gases and mixtures, including silane, argon, helium and krypton, in the precise volumes and purities you require for smooth coating in rubber and plastics processing.
Inerting for UV/EB curing
Nitrogen (N2) or carbon dioxide (CO2) can be used to displace oxygen from the curing chamber during ultraviolet (UV) and electron beam (EB) curing processes. Inerting with these gases improves the quality of the treated products by enhancing scratch resistance for instance, also reducing VOC emissions and lowering photoinitiator costs. We can support your inerting processes with customised N2 or CO2 supply schemes, designed to meet your volume and purity needs. You can also rely on us for suitable measurement and metering equipment.
CRYOCLEAN® snow (CO2)
CRYOCLEAN® snow is an innovative and eco-friendly technology for cleaning and pre-treating plastic surfaces prior to painting. It uses tiny dry ice particles made on site from liquid carbon dioxide (CO2), which gives operators flexibility as they are not dependent on supplies of pre-produced dry ice pellets. CRYOCLEAN® snow can be easily integrated into fully automated production processes.
Cryogenic deflashing of rubber and plastic parts (N2/CO2)
We offer turnkey cryogenic deflashing systems that use liquid nitrogen (LIN) or liquid carbon dioxide (LIC) to remove flash from rubber or plastic-moulded products.

CRYOCLEAN® dry ice cleaning of moulds
Dry ice blasting is a dry cleaning process that removes the build-up of surface residue left by the product mix (including release agents, oversprays and other moulding by-products) faster and more effectively than traditional cleaning methods. Using carbon dioxide (CO2) pellets, this environmentally friendly and non-abrasive solution dramatically reduces downtime as it cleans hot moulds in situ, leaving no waste or residual products.
Welding gases
We have developed a range of dedicated shielding gas mixtures to ensure maximum productivity while protecting your weld against the effects of oxygen and nitrogen in the air. Our CORGON® family, for instance, mixes carbon dioxide (CO₂) with argon (Ar) and oxygen (O₂) to optimise welding outcomes across a diverse range of materials and material thicknesses.
