White liquor oxidation: Partially oxidized white liquor
Oxygen may be used alone or as a complement to air when oxidizing white liquor. In several mills where oxygen from Linde is used for white liquor oxidation oxygen is used as a complement to air. By adding oxygen to existing white liquor oxidation equipment using air, increased capacity can be achieved without any larger investments. Benefits with adding oxygen to existing air oxidation equipment are:
