Petroleum refineries must deal with heavy pollution such as SO2, NOx and CO2 from both products and processes. At the same time local and global environmental pressures are growing regarding environmental compliance and emission monitoring. Continuous emission monitoring systems are therefor widely used within petrochemical plants to quantify amounts of these critical by-products emitted to the atmosphere.
