| Zero Regio (zero-emission region) is a project supported by the European Commission within the sixth Framework programme.
Aim of the project is to build up a supply structure for hydrogen fuelled vehicles in two European agglomerations and to carry out and evaluate field tests. The two chosen agglomerations are the Rhein-Main area in Germany and the region around Mantua in Italy.
The suitability of the technology for everyday use shall be proven, further developed and material collected for standards and technical rules and regulations.
Some of the objectives of the ZERO REGIO project are:
- Integration of hydrogen filling stations (up to 700 bar filling pressure) into a conventional filling station
- Installation of liquid hydrogen filling systems
- Field tests on the daily use of fuel cell vehicles
The participants are, besides the European Commission, companies and research establishments from Italy, Sweden, Denmark and Germany.
The task of Linde in this project is to build hydrogen filling stations and supply the hydrogen.
By the end of 2005 hydrogen filling stations and hydrogen powered vehicles shall be fully developed and ready to use. |
