| The introduction of hydrogen powered vehicles and the involved infrastructure within the EU will be largely influenced by the question whether common rules, regulations, guidelines and admission procedures exist.
For this reason already 1997 the European Integrated Hydrogen Project (EIHP) was established by the European Commission. It dealt with all questions involving admission procedures, standards for hydrogen powered vehicles, infrastructures and components.
Meanwhile the project has proceeded to the EIHP2. Beside the revision and specification of previously acquired knowledge the focus now lies on establishing the European standards on a global level.
As a result uniform technical requirements for hydrogen vehicles, filling stations and interfaces plus industry standards at a global level, e.g. ISO are expected.
Being one of 21 partners Linde can supply important information on hydrogen storage and infrastructure due to their long years of experience in this field. |
