| Although many fumigation applications are used to treat freshly harvested or stored products, fumigation is also beneficial before harvesting. STERIGAS™ has a low environmental impact and can be used to pre-treat soil against insects, weeds and parasitic nematodes (roundworms).
STERIGAS™ is based on ethanedinitrile (EDN) and reaches the same efficacy levels as methyl bromide, even with shorter treatment times, facilitating significantly faster replantation. STERIGAS™ is also suitable for timber treatment, e.g. against wood boring beetles due to its high penetration characteristics when compared to methyl bromide.
