Dry ice is solid carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide can exist in three forms, depending on the pressure and temperature:
Dry ice is made from liquid carbon (CO2) dioxide by reducing the pressure and temperature in a controlled manner. This converts liquid CO2 into clean, white and low-temperature CO2 snow. The snow is then compressed under high pressure to form blocks, slices, pellets, or nuggets.
